At the time of its completion in 2000 The Kuwait Scientific Center was the largest aquarium to be built in the Middle East. Public environmental education is The Scientific Centers main focus, educating visitors about the animals and habitats close to the region. The three main habitats of the Aquariums learning center the desert of the Arabian Peninsula, the Oceanic Environment of the gulf’s coastal regions and the Sea Zone the imitates the natural environments of the Red Sea and South African Sea.

Cloward H2O prepared design and construction documents for the indoor aquarium facility for both freshwater and salt-water. Responsibilities included design of all tanks, pools, and aquatic life support systems for the entire aquarium facility.
