Zoo Tampa Stingray Shores

Zoo guests can book about a 20-minute experience in the stingray touch pool, that gives them a chance to touch, feed, and even get in the water with stingrays.

This 30,000-gallon habitat was designed with a more naturalistic environment for the animals. This included a sandy bottom that provides an area where the animals can bury themselves which is natural behavior for them.

Cloward H2O worked to make sure the stingrays got as close to home as possible with the water in terms of temperature, salt content and other aspects so the stingrays would thrive in the protected habitat.
