PROJECT DESCRIPTION
uShaka Marine World opened in May of 2004 as one of the ten largest aquariums in the world. Based on Durban's history of being the last destination of innumerable shipwrecks, visitors to uShaka wander through a series of old wrecks as they experience the undersea world. Special features include an open ocean tank, a snorkel lagoon, a 'swim with the dolphins' experience, and many other specialty exhibits. Also included is a retail and entertainment complex and waterpark, as well as the new home of the South African Association for Marine and Biological Research.

PROJECT SCOPE
Cloward H2O provided the life support systems engineering and tank design for over 4.3 million gallons of aquarium exhibits at uShaka.
